Young keeper Shane Supple has signed a three-year deal with the club. Supple, 18, made his first team debut as a sub at Leicester earlier this season and his first start in the home game with Sheffield Wednesday a week later.

Boss Joe Royle had no complaints after his side lost 2-0 to Reading at the Madejski Stadium. The Town manager was impressed with the Berkshire team and expects them to be in the running for promotion come the end of the season.

Dismal Town were easily defeated 2-0 by second-placed Reading at the Madejski Stadium. Richard Naylor netted an 18th minute own goal and Kevin Doyle scored the second after the break, while for the Blues Sam Parkin squandered a great chance and Adam Proudlock had a shot blocked when goal-bound.
