Town have provisionally arranged a friendly with Brechin City for the next international week. The Blues are pencilled in to play the Bell's League Division Two side at Glebe Park on Thursday, 5th October in a game to celebrate the Scottish side's centenary.

Town's injured trio Simon Walton, Fabian Wilnis and Gavin Williams are all expected to be OK for Saturday's home game with Sunderland. Walton has a gash to the leg, Wilnis a thigh problem and Williams a groin injury.

Midfielder Simon Walton has emerged as another slight injury concern ahead of Saturday's game with Sunderland. The loanee from Charlton has a hamstring problem in addition to the gashed leg which required stitches earlier in the week, but is expected to be OK to face the Black Cats.

Midfielder Gavin Williams should be fit for Saturday's home game with Sunderland despite suffering from groin and hip problems of late. Williams is the most fouled player in the Championship this season having won 22 freekicks.
