A very young Town U18 side suffered a disappointing 2-1 defeat at bottom-of-the-table Millwall on Saturday morning. The young Blues were without the injured Jordan Rhodes and Tommy Smith, while other players were rested after the midweek FA Youth Cup game.

Boss Jim Magilton called on his players to use Saturday's victory at Sheffield Wednesday as a springboard as they go into the last few months of the season. The first away win in 11 months took Town up to sixth in the table.

Town finally grabbed their first away win of the season as Sheffield Wednesday were defeated 2-1 at Hillsborough. Former Owl Alan Quinn lashed in the first, before Marcus Tudgay equalised. In the second half Quinn turned provider, nodding the ball down to Alan Lee, who stabbed in the winner.
