Injury NewsWed 22nd Dec 1999 15:32 With David Johnson seemingly on the road to recovery Town's only worry for the Fulham game is Mark Venus. The former Wolves centre-half injured his ankle during training last week but has had an injection to speed his recovery. Venus hasn't played a first team game since the ultra-dour 0-0 draw with Tranmere, having been kept out of the side by Wayne Brown. But with Brown still fairly inexperienced Venus could still play a big part in the season.
Parking LifeWed 22nd Dec 1999 11:49 Town fans should note that some parking restrictions will be in force for the Boxing Day game at Fulham. Contrary to reports elsewhere cars will not be allowed to park on single yellow lines. The official Fulham website says: "We have now contacted Hammersmith and Fulham council with regard to parking restrictions around Craven Cottage on Boxing Day and January 3rd.
Holland On and On and OnTue 21st Dec 1999 20:20 Town fans were cheered today by the news that skipper Matt Holland has been offered a new four year deal. His current contract ends in 2002, but Town want to secure the midfielder's services until 2004. Matt himself is keen to sign for the extra period and the dela seems set to go through smoothly in the new year. Hurrah!
