Town's U19s started their season with a 2-2 draw at Stoke City on Saturday morning. The academy are only fielding an U19 side this season due to the reduction in the number of players at the club over the last year. |

Town manager Joe Royle was furious with referee Frazer Stretton for not red carding Coventry's Micky Doyle for an 11th minute elbow on Fabian Wilnis. Doyle went on to score the Sky Blues' equaliser on the half hour. |

Off form Town dropped more home points as they drew 1-1 at home to Coventry. Marcus Bent put the Blues ahead on 16 minutes but Micky Doyle equalised for the visitors just after the half hour. Town probably had the better of the second half but failed to grab the winner, sub Ian Westlake coming closest. |
