Fans are being offered the chance to have their name included in a new book about the Blues’ 1980/81 campaign. 1980-81 The Greatest Season in Ipswich Town’s History, written by Mel Henderson, the Blues' public relations officer at the time, will be published in November.

Town manager Roy Keane again had praise for new skipper David Norris after the midfielder fired in his fourth goal of the season to seal the Blues’ 1-0 Carling Cup win at Crewe in extra time. Keane was also delighted with keeper Brian Murphy’s performance on his return to the side.
