Town tonight put themselves into the second round of the UEFA Cup after they beat a defensive Torpedo Moscow 2-1 on the night, 3-2 on aggregate. The Russian side were content with their one away goal and played like a typical away side by trying to catch us on the break. |

When we drew Torpedo Moscow in the UEFA Cup there were those who expressed disappointment. Now that a thousand or so Town fans are in the Russian capital and eagerly awaiting the kick-off of the game few will feel that way. |

David Sheepshanks warns the PFA Chief that he may have a fight on his hands if the players’ strike is to go ahead. The Premiership may take the PFA to court to prevent such action as Sheepshanks considered the strike illegal: "My understanding of the legal situation is that the PFA cannot call players out on strike because they aren't in dispute with the clubs". |
