As expected Titus Bramble has been called up to the England U21 squad meeting Germany and Finland. Bramble started the previous game against Georgia and must be fairly confident of getting the nod once more from Howard Wilkinson. The squad alos contains former Town loan player Paolo Vernazza. |

Marcus Stewart and Mark Venus, the two Town players who missed out Wednesday with injury, should both be fit for Saturday's game at Everton. Both appear to have recovered from their strains suffered during the Arsenal match last week. |

Former Town striker Alex Mathie looks like he will join the legion of Town old boys at Colchester. Mathie was released by Dundee United today and if no other club comes in for him seems set to move to Layer Road. Town eventually ran out winners in probably the most bizarre game I have ever seen. The game had everything: goals, red cards, bad refereeing, time-wasting of an Olympic standard, a missed penalty and pretty much everything else you can think of. |
