Town ran out worthy winners of a rather dull game at Portman Road this evening. The most interesting moments were the two second half goals from Richard Logan and Guillermo Graaven both of which were well taken.

A band calling themselves the Super Blues Brothers are to release a CD entitled Sing for the Tractor Boys. The tune recorded by the two local musicians, who want to remain anonymous, has been played on SGR and has gone down well with listeners.

Town's Academy has a new sponsor for the rest of this season and the next. They are Pritt who have already been involved in the sponsorship of Town's Media Centre this season. The youngsters will wear the Pritt name on their shirts for this Thursday's FA Youth Cup game with Arsenal.

A report in Marketing Week claims that Town are set to end their links with Greene King at the end of the season and are after a new £2.5 million sponsorship deal covering three seasons. The new deal reportedly covers shirts and the Academy with the renaming of Portman Road after the sponsor also mooted. This not likely to prove popular amongst fans.

Town have now confirmed that their pre-season tour is as reported here early last month. Finnish sources reported the dates and the clubs were selling tickets, but Town repeatedly denied that any decision had been made.
