The worlds of football and the theatre have rarely been comfortable bedfellows, something that Vinnie Jones's potential Lear is unlikely to change. However, the Oxford Theatre Touring Company have brought the first act in our Euro-drama to the stage in a new play entitled The Tractor Girls.

George Burley has decided that he will take his Town squad away during the month gap between fixtures after the Liverpool match. The Blackburn match being re-arranged (see earlier stories) and the FA Cup exit have left Town with a lengthy hiatus.

There are still around 300 tickets in the Town section available for tomorrow's match at Goodison Park. The club have now returned them to the Toffees, but they will be available on the day.

Town have refuted tabloid suggestions that Nottingham Forest have defaulted on payments for £3 million striker David Johnson. Reports this morning claimed that a move to Coventry had fallen through due to problems with payments owed to Town.

Town are again reported to have watched Belgian international striker Wesley Sonck. The Genk striker was mentioned in connection with Town just before Christmas as scouts flocked to watch the Belgian Player of the Year.
