A Portman Road spokesperson said "Don't believe everything you read in the papers". The story, which appeared in several places, suggested that Chelsea and Ipswich had completed the deal which would see Wright move to Chelsea for £5 million at the end of the season. It has also been suggested that this deal is what paid for Marcus Stewart last week, with little mention of the £6 million gleaned from the sale of Kieron Dyer. |
