Richard Wright has again re-iterated his intention to stay with Town should they be promoted to the Premiership. Wright said: "Hopefully, if we can get the results we need, Ipswich will be in the Premiership and I'll be with them." Wright has refused up to now to sign an extension to his current contract which ends in a year's time. Town are looking for him to sign for at least another year. Several clubs including Chelsea have been linked and he seems destined to leave in the summer shuld Town fail in the play-offs for the fourth time running. |

Scowy and Stewart Probably OK Mon 08th May 2000 11:54
Town injury victims James Scowcroft and Marcus Stewart are likely to be fit for Sunday's play-off game at the Reebok Stadium with Bolton. Scowcroft was substituted near the end and had to have stitches on a wound below his knee. Stewart went off with a calf injury but neither injury is likely to be so bad that they are a doubt for Bolton. John McGreal and Fabian Wilnis are also under treatment, McGreal with his ankle injury and Wilnis with a groin strain. McGreal may be fit for Sunday whilst there doesn't seem to be any suggestion that Wilnis will be missing Sunday. |
