Academy coach Jason Dozzell says this weekend’s U17 tournament in Belgium will be a useful experience for the Blues youngsters. The squad left Suffolk early this morning for the competition which is being hosted by KSC Lokeren on Saturday and Sunday.

Former midfielder Lee Bowyer has revealed that ex-boss Paul Jewell invited him to join the club’s coaching staff last summer. Bowyer spent a year with the Blues before moving on at the end of 2011/12 after making 24 starts and five sub appearances and scoring twice.

Former Town chief executive Simon Clegg has been appointed the new chairman of Great Britain Badminton. Clegg left his role with the Blues in February and has since been working as a consultant to Madrid’s bid to stage the 2020 Olympic Games and will continue in that role.
