Portsmouth boss Steve Cotterill says he expects to continue talks aimed at taking Town skipper David Norris to Fratton Park later this week. The Blues are understood to have turned down a £250,000 offer for the midfielder but the Pompey manager claims the 29-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of June, is likely to join his club in the summer if the move doesn't take place this month. |

Paul Jewell is hoping to repeat his 2006 Carling Cup semi-final triumph over Arsenal with Wigan when Town take on the Gunners at the Emirates at the same stage of the competition this evening (BBC2 and BBC HD, 7.30pm). The Blues go into the game a goal up from the first leg, Tamás Priskin’s second half strike having seen them to a 1-0 victory at Portman Road a fortnight ago. |
