The 59-year-old, who was previously the club’s director of player development, takes over from former Dutch international Aron Winter, who has left by mutual consent after a start to the season which has seen them drop to the bottom of the Eastern Conference having gained just three points from 10 games.

Bryan Klug looks set to return to Playford Road in his old role as Academy manager with Town understood to have offered him a five-year contract. In February, TWTD was first to reveal that the Blues were hoping to bring back Klug, who is currently the assistant director and head of player development at Tottenham’s Academy.
