Loan striker David Healy says his season has almost certainly been ended by the medial knee ligament injury he picked up in training last week. The Northern Irishman has also revealed that he has been playing with a rib injury for most of his time with the Blues.

Boss Roy Keane says he would be lynched by Town supporters if he was to let boy wonder striker Connor Wickham move to Sunderland this summer. Reports emanating from the North-East over the last couple of weeks have claimed that the Black Cats want Wickham to move to Wearside as part of an exchange deal which would see Daryl Murphy, David Healy and/or Jack Colback joining the Blues on a permanent basis.

Keeper Brian Murphy has been named in the Republic of Ireland squad for a training camp in Dublin from May 16th to 21st. Irish coach Giovanni Trapattoni will use the camp to assess his players ahead of Ireland’s Euro 2012 qualification campaign and could also call the likes of Owen Garvan into his party.

Town’s U18s are in action against Portsmouth in a rearranged fixture at Playford Road on Thursday afternoon (KO 1pm). There is further academy action at Portman Road on Friday evening when an U15 side takes on Manchester United in the annual friendly played between the clubs' youngsters.
