Groundman Alan Ferguson says his Portman Road pitch will be fine for Saturday, despite Monday's FA Youth Cup match having been abandoned after 88 minutes due to torrential rain. The award-winning turfsman was unhappy that Monday's game continued for as long as it did. |

Scunthorpe boss Nigel Adkins says his club could sign Town midfielder Liam Trotter on loan later on in the season. Trotter spent time with the Iron last week having impressed the League One side when playing against them for previous loan side Grimsby earlier in the season . |

Skipper Gareth McAuley scored his first ever international goal for Northern Ireland as they won their World Cup qualifier in San Marino 3-0. McAuley, who was winning his 14th cap, opened the scoring in the fifth minute with a half-volley. |
