Town target Sean St Ledger appears to be very much back in favour at Leicester having been put on the transfer list after falling out with boss Nigel Pearson at Christmas. St Ledger was close to joining the Blues earlier in the month until the Foxes cancelled the deal with the Irish international required to cover for Sol Bamba, who is away at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Dallas FC manager Schellas Hyndman says Blues keeper Richard Wright's trial with his club is with a view to a possible future move rather than the 34-year-old joining the MLS side for the season ahead. TWTD reported that Wright had travelled to the US on Saturday with his return expected in the next day or so.

Left-back or midfielder Shane O'Connor is to hold preliminary talks with his hometown club Cork City, his Blues contract having been terminated by mutual consent on Friday. Shamrock Rovers and Dundalk are also interested in taking the 21-year-old former Liverpool trainee back to Ireland.

Portsmouth were this afternoon officially issued with the winding up petition relating to £1.6 million in PAYE not paid to HMRC. Speaking at the weekend, Andrew Andronikou, joint-administrator for Pompey’s parent company Convers Sports Initiatives, said the situation could lead to player sales with the Blues having made two unsuccessful bids for Joel Ward (pictured) and Jason Pearce over the last 10 days.

Town have launched a VIP match day auction in support of Suffolk's hospices. Help the Hospices is the Football League's official charity for 2011/12 and all proceeds from the auction will be split between St Elizabeth Hospice, St Nicholas Hospice Care and East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH).
