Town manager Joe Royle has recalled striker Alun Armstrong to his squad for Saturday's home clash with West Ham United. Armstrong has impressed in the reserves recently, scoring two goals against Southampton last week.

Town have made the first tranch of payments to the creditors who agreed to the Company Voluntary Arrangment (CVA). More than 300 companies and organisations will receive the cash, in most cases a percentage of the figure they were owed when the club went into administration in February.

Town's reserves drew 0-0 with a Cambridge United side in a friendly at the Playford Road Training Centre. The game had been arranged partly to build-up John McGreal's fitness, however the central defender limped off not long after half-time with a pulled hamstring.
