Academy keeper Cody Cropper has been named in the US U18 squad for the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland, which is being played between July 21st and 30th. Town trio Josh Carson, Caolan Lavery and Cormac Burke have already been named in the Northern Ireland U20 party which is also competing in the Elite section of the prestigious annual tournament.

With U18s coach Russell Osman in charge following Chris Kiwomya’s departure at the end of last season, two first half goals from Caolan Lavery put Town in charge before Joe Harvey pulled one back for the hosts just prior to the break.

Town have announced that they will hold an open day at Portman Road on Thursday 28th July when fans will get the chance to watch the first team squad train. The Blues promised to hold a number of open training sessions after former manager Roy Keane’s policy of welcoming fans to Playford Road on a daily basis was scrapped earlier in the year.
