Doncaster Reject Town Bid for Duo Fri 13th May 2011 12:09
Doncaster have rejected a Town £2.6 million joint-bid for striker Billy Sharp and midfielder James Coppinger. Rovers chairman John Ryan has confirmed that his club has turned down £2.3 million for Sharp and £300,000 for Coppinger.

Town are once again linked with Doncaster Rovers duo Billy Sharp and James Coppinger in this morning’s tabloids. TWTD first mentioned striker Sharp in connection with the Blues when manager Paul Jewell was spotted at their game at Derby in March, while Town’s interest in midfielder Coppinger has been a persistent rumour over the last few days.

West Brom manager Roy Hodgson has confirmed his interest in departing Town central defender Gareth McAuley and former Baggie Tomasz Kuszczak, who is currently with Manchester United. On Monday, the Northern Irishman told Blues boss Paul Jewell that he would be moving on when his contract is up at the end of June, with the Hawthorns understood to be his destination.
