Striker Connor Wickham is set to win his second England U19 cap this afternoon when his side take on Cyprus in their second European Championships qualifying group game in Belgium (KO 1.30pm). Northern Irish trio Josh Carson, Caolan Lavery and Rory McKeown could also win caps for their U19s.

Smith’s New Zealand drew 1-1 with the Azzurri at the World Cup in South Africa as the then-holders crashed out at the group stage.

Town’s stewards are taking on a team from Ipswich Hospital’s Raedwald Day Surgery Unit on Sunday 10th October in a charity match being played in memory of Kate Ward, a steward in the Britannia Stand who lost her battle with cancer earlier this year. The game is at Rushmere Sports Club (KO 2pm), where there will also be a barbecue and general knowledge quiz.
