Clegg's West Anglia Date Moves Thu 20th Aug 2009 10:33
Town chief executive Simon Clegg’s appearance at the AGM of the West Anglia Branch of the Ipswich Town Supporters Club (WABITS) has switched to Tuesday, 6th October. The meeting, where Clegg will give a speech and answer questions, will still be held at the Bedford Golf Club, Great Denham with a 7.45pm start.

Town have agreed to cancel keeper Shane Supple’s contract at the player’s request as he looks to pursue a career away from football. The 22-year-old says his heart is no longer in the game and he will be returning to Ireland to consider his future.

Former Blue Darren Ambrose scored twice within a minute in the second half, Alex Bruce pulled one back for the Blues prior to Neil Danns settling any Eagles nerves with Richard Wright preventing the visitors from winning more comfortably.

Town have confirmed that the North Stand will become known as the Sir Bobby Robson Stand in tribute to the legendary Blues boss. The stand is expected to be officially be re-christened at the game against Newcastle United on September 26th when Robson’s wife Lady Elsie and their sons will be in attendance.
