Town are reported to be one of two Championship clubs to have made a failed loan bid for Manchester United youngster Giuseppe Rossi as Thursday's transfer deadline approaches. It seems unlikely that the Blues would be targeting the American with the season all but over and Ricardo Fuller already on loan at Portman Road.

Vemund Brekke Skard became the 50th overseas player to make a senior appearance for the Blues when he came on as a late sub at Crystal Palace on Saturday. Skard is also the first Norwegian ever to play for Town, the 19th non-British or Irish nationality to represent the club.

Ricardo Fuller says he is hopeful referee Kevin Friend will overturn the red card he showed the Jamaican in the second half of Saturday's game at Crystal Palace. Fuller made a V-sign to the crowd which a linesman intepreted as being aimed at him.

Boss Joe Royle spent another post-match press conference bemoaning a harsh sending off after Ricardo Fuller received the Blues' sixth red card of the season. It has emerged that the linesman felt the Jamaican had gestured towards him rather than the crowd, leading to the dismissal.

Ricardo Fuller was controversially sent off, apparently for gestures made towards the crowd, as the Blues drew 2-2 at Crystal Palace. The Jamaican was given his marching orders on 76, 10 minutes after netting Town's second equaliser of the game, the first having been a Tom Soares own goal.

On-loan defender Jay McEveley says he hopes to break into the Scotland squad before the end of the season. The one-time England U21 international, who qualifies for Scotland via a grandmother, decided to change his allegiance shortly before injuring a medial knee ligament at Cardiff in November.
