Arsenal midfielder Arturo Lupoli is once again linked with a loan move to the Blues in a weekend tabloid. Town boss Joe Royle is after a striker on loan while Danny Haynes, Sam Parkin and Adam Proudlock recover from injury.

Striker Jordan Rhodes scored a hat-trick for the second week running as the U16s won their derby 4-1 at Norwich's Colney training ground on Saturday morning. The U18s fared less well, losing 1-0 and having Cathal Lordan sent off.

Striker Viktor Unnar Illugason is one of two Icelandic youngsters who have joined the Town academy on a week's trial. The 15-year-old U17 international has had several previous spells with the Blues, although recent reports in Iceland claimed he was close to signing scholarship forms with Championship leaders Reading.

Joe Royle is still looking for a loan striker while Sam Parkin, Danny Haynes, Adam Proudlock and Nicky Forster recover from their injuries. Proudlock isn't far from a return, Parkin three weeks away, Haynes four and Forster almost certainly out for the rest of the season.

Boss Joe Royle felt his side thoroughly deserved their 2-1 victory over Burnley. However, the Town manager admitted that the award of the 80th minute penalty which led to the winning goal was harsh.

Town came from a goal down to beat a niggly and tedious 10-man Burnley side 2-1. The Clarets went ahead against the run of play just before the break through Michael Ricketts but a second half goal from Alan Lee and a Matt Richards penalty 10 minutes from time gave the Blues the points.

Midfielder Kevin Horlock has moved to Doncaster Rovers on an initial month's loan. The 33-year-old has been told he is free to leave Portman Road with his contract not being renewed in the summer.

Irish striker Alan Lee says he is settling in well at Portman Road and has praise for boss Joe Royle in a guest column for this weekend's The League Paper. The former Cardiff man is not ruling out a late charge for the play-offs.
