Boss Joe Royle felt his side thoroughly deserved their 2-1 victory over Burnley. However, the Town manager admitted that the award of the 80th minute penalty which led to the winning goal was harsh.

Town came from a goal down to beat a niggly and tedious 10-man Burnley side 2-1. The Clarets went ahead against the run of play just before the break through Michael Ricketts but a second half goal from Alan Lee and a Matt Richards penalty 10 minutes from time gave the Blues the points.

Boss Joe Royle has revealed he made an attempt to sign former loanee Danny Karbassiyoon prior to the former Arsenal trainee joining Saturday's opponents Burnley last summer. The American made six appearances during a loan spell between December 2004 and March 2005.
