Boss Jim Magilton has finally commented on Town's interest in Newcastle striker Shola Ameobi, denying that he has made a bid but confirming he has made an enquiry regarding the 26-year-old. Yesterday, reports in the North-East said any proposed deal had collapsed with Ameobi less than keen on the switch. |

The 26-year-old Spaniard was first mentioned in connection with the Blues on a BBC transfer rumours site earlier in the week and posted on the TWTD Message Board on a number of occasions, although at the time there appeared to be little to substantiate the story. |
