Town's second game of the pre-season tour of Hungary against Diósgyõr kicks off at 5pm and not 8pm as has been widely reported. The Blues face the Miskolc-based side next Sunday.

Town have offered disappointed fans of McFly the chance to watch the Blues take on Atlético Madrid in the club's final pre-season friendly on July 29th. McFly were due to play a concert in Christchurch Park on the same day but the gig was cancelled after the promoter went into administration.

French midfielder Jimmy Juan is reported to be out of this evening's friendly against Rangers and the tour of Hungary. The 22-year-old injured his foot in Saturday's 5-2 victory over Boston.

Town's reserves got their pre-season campaign off to a winning start with a 4-1 victory at Dereham Town last night. Darryl Knights struck twice with James Krause and Danny Haynes completing the scoring.

Pre-season top scorer Nicky Forster says he is settling into life at Portman Road very quickly. The 31-year-old has scored three times in Town's first two friendlies at Cambridge and Boston.

Fans travelling back towards London after Tuesday's friendly with Rangers are being provided with an extra train. The additional service will leave Ipswich at 10pm, arriving in London at 11.21pm.

Boss Joe Royle was pleased with Town's five-goal haul at Boston on Saturday, but was disappointed that his side conceded twice against the League Two side. Royle has missed both of Town's pre-season friendlies having recently undergone knee replacement surgery but is expected to be back at work today.

Joe Royle says it is now highly unlikely that David Unsworth will be joining the club. The former loanee was Royle's main defensive target but Portsmouth have been unwilling to settle the 31-year-old's contract or subsidise a season-long loan.
