Town manager Jim Magilton has confirmed yesterday's reports of a £200,000 bid for Nicky Forster from Hull City. Forster himself says he is in the dark regarding the proposed move.

Two goals in the final five minutes gave Town's reserves a 3-1 victory over Colchester United in their first home league game of the season at Playford Road. Liam Trotter netted twice and Darryl Knights once for the Blues, while Jamie Guy scored for the visitors.

Town are seeking permission from the FA to field ex-Norwich City midfielder Phil Mulryne in the reserves against Colchester United at Playford Road this afternoon (KO 2pm, public access from 1.30pm). Mulryne has been training with the Blues over the last few weeks, having been released by Cardiff City in the summer.
