Chester City have revealed that Town will pay an initial fee of £100,000 for striker Jon Walters, who is expected to make his debut at Stoke City this evening. Chairman Stephen Vaughan has sought to clarify the situation with various prices having been quoted since his move, Town having announced the fee as "undisclosed".

Town manager Jim Magilton says that Brighton's interest in Darren Currie and Dean Bowditch has so far only reached the enquiry stage. Earlier in the month Seagulls assistant boss Dean White revealed they wanted Bowditch back until the end of the season, while TWTD reported his club's interest in re-signing Currie over the weekend.
