Former Town assistant manager Willie Donachie has been confirmed as the new boss at Millwall. Donachie had been caretaker-manager since the departure of Nigel Spackman earlier in the season.

Keeper Lewis Price has returned to training after breaking a rib at Southend last month. However, Town have confirmed that Billy Clarke's ankle injury will almost certainly keep him out of Saturday's trip to Barnsley, while Gary Roberts is also a concern.

Fans of Town and Norwich have formed an unlikely alliance to call for the East Anglian derby to be switched back to a Saturday 3pm kick-off. In recent seasons the matches at both Town and Carrow Road have kicked off on Sunday lunchtimes, with last weekend's match starting at 11.30am.

Winger Gary Roberts's preparations for the weekend derby were tinged by tragedy when he learnt that close friend Ben Nowak had been killed while on duty in Iraq. Roberts wore a T-shirt bearing a photo of his friend under his Town strip during the game in tribute.
