Town are interested in taking sacked Sheffield Wednesday striker Adam Proudlock on trial. The 24-year-old was dismissed for breaches of the Owls' code of conduct earlier this week.

West Ham midfielder Carl Fletcher was targeted by Town last week shortly before the ex-Bournemouth man joined Watford on loan. Boss Joe Royle is looking for a loan midfielder as cover for Ian Westlake who is out of action until November, possibly December with an ankle injury.

Boss Joe Royle says Town will not be making a loan signing today, but another striker could come in on Wednesday. Royle has been looking for an addition to his squad since Nicky Forster underwent a cartilage operation in August.

Spanish full-back Sito's red card against Norwich has been overturned by the FA's Disciplinary Commission. Sito faced missing two games for the sending off, his second dismissal of the season.

Skipper Jim Magilton says referee Lee Mason told him he was going to show Sito a yellow card and not a red after Kevin Lisbie had gone to ground during Sunday's East Anglian derby with Norwich City. Magilton felt Mason's decision to send the full-back off ruined the match.

Bowden took questions from fans on a variety of issues and revealed that the investor reported to have been at the Sheffield Wednesday game was in fact, as TWTD suggested at the time, a potential sponsor, probably of the North Stand.

Town's U18s crashed to a 5-0 defeat at Watford on Saturday morning. Better news was that the U16s defeated the Hornets 4-2.
