Town's AGM will be held on Thursday, 1st December at a venue yet to be confirmed, although it is understood that it won't be the Regent which hosted last year's meeting.

Boss Joe Royle has not ruled out bringing Alan Mahon back to Portman Road. The Wigan midfielder has been told that he can go out on loan by Paul Jewell but his wages might prevent a deal from taking place.

Portman Road is not on the list of venues in the running to host games at the 2007 UEFA U21 Championship, according to the FA. Town chairman David Sheepshanks was quoted earlier today saying that Portman Road would be amongst the contenders to host a match should the FA be successful in winning its bid to host the competition.

Boss Joe Royle admitted he had to give Nicky Forster longer than he had planned to after the Blues had rarely threatened in the first hour of the game against Crewe. Forster, who had missed seven weeks after undergoing cartilage surgery, scored his second goal of the season to give the Blues an important 2-1 victory.

Darren Currie and the returning Nicky Forster scored as Town came from behind to beat Crewe 2-1 at Portman Road. The visitors had much the better of the first half and went ahead via a David Vaughan freekick. After the break, Richard Naylor went up front and was involved in both goals.

Chairman David Sheepshanks says that Portman Road could be considered as one of the grounds used in the 2007 European U21 Championship if the FA is successful in its bid to host the tournament.

Sacked Sheffield Wednesday striker Adam Proudlock is joining Town on a week's trial from Monday. The 24-year-old was released by the Owls earlier in the month for a number of breaches of club discipline, the latest his failure to attend a Sunday training session.
