Chief executive Derek Bowden says Richard Naylor's surprise non-appearance against Preston North End on Monday was a result of the Blues being unable to gain confirmation that a player whose red card was being appealed was eligible to play. Naylor was harshly sent off against Millwall on Saturday and Town were keen for his dismissal to be overturned. |

Town's reserves lost 3-1 at Fulham's Motspur Park training ground on Tuesday night. Dean Bowditch scored for the Blues from the penalty spot in the 76th minute to put Town back on terms after Heidar Helguson had put the home side ahead but the Cottagers netted twice more late on through Yinka Casal and Helguson again. |
