Town chief executive Derek Bowden has revealed that the club have accepted Sunderland's bid for keeper Kelvin Davis. TWTD reported this morning that the former Luton and Wimbledon man would be in talks at the Stadium of Light this afternoon.

Bowden said: "Kelvin Davis is currently in Sunderland, I believe. We've accepted an offer from Sunderland for Kelvin. He's probably with Mick McCarthy now.

Departing striker Darren Bent says he had no doubt that Charlton was the club he wanted to join after meeting Alan Curbishley and club chairman Richard Murray. Bent is set to sign for the Addicks this afternoon in a deal which could eventually rise to £3 million.

Striker Darren Bent is expected to sign a four-year deal with Charlton later today. Town have accepted a fee of £2.5 million rising to £3 million fee plus a sell-on for the 21-year-old.

Town have agreed a fee with Charlton for striker Darren Bent which will eventually total £3 million. The Blues will receive £2.5 million up front with a further £500,000 due on appearances for the Addicks and for the full England side, and have a sell-on.

Keeper Kelvin Davis is having talks with Sunderland today regarding his proposed move to the Black Cats. Chairman David Sheepshanks has already spoken to his Sunderland counterpart Bob Murray about the former England U21 international's fee, thought to be somewhere approaching £1 million.
