Former South African international Mark Fish has joined Town on trial. The central defender was released by Charlton at the end of last season and will be involved at Colchester on Tuesday.

Assistant manager Willie Donachie was impressed with the contribution of trialist Sito and keeper Lewis Price during Friday's 2-1 defeat to Atlético Madrid. Donachie says the Blues could have another look at former Racing Club de Ferrol right-back Sito, perhaps in Tuesday's friendly at Colchester.

Town fell to their fourth successive pre-season defeat against Spanish side Atlético Madrid. The Blues went ahead against the run of play through Ian Westlake but former Chelsea man Mateja Kezman equalised on the stroke of half-time and Pablo Ibáñez netted the winner just after the hour mark.

The Blues have added midfielder Liam Trotter to the squad for tonight's home friendly with Atlético Madrid. Defender Aidan Collins picked up an injury in the reserve game with Canvey Island yesterday and has been withdrawn.

Town have received confirmation that Canadian international winger Jaime Peters has finally been granted a work permit. Peters, who provisionally signed for the Blues back in January, is set to link-up with the first team squad next week.

Town's reserves beat Canvey Island 2-1 at the non-leaguers' Park Lane ground last night. Right winger Danny Haynes scored twice for the Blues inside the first 10 minutes.
