Town's U18s start their FA Premier Academy League (South) season on Saturday morning with a home game against Nottingham Forest (Playford Road, KO 11am). The senior Academy leagues have switched to U16 and U18 this season from U17 and U19.

The 30-year-old picked up the injury in the friendly with Osasuna but the extent of the problem was only shown by the scan carried out when the former Wigan man was with the Canada squad.
