A superb second half display took Town to their third league away win of the season against previously high-flying Watford. Goals from Alun Armstrong and Jamie Clapham won the points as Town enjoyed their best half of football since the 6-1 win over Leicester early in the season.

"Proud" seems to be the word on everyone's lips at the Club the day after going out on penalties to Slovan Liberec. Joe Royle said he was proud of the team and used the cliche so befitting Town's situation saying "this does give us more time to concentrate on the league".
