Hassan Kachloul's agent has declared a 5pm today deadline for clubs to make their interest known in the Moroccan international. Town, Celtic, Villa and Derby are already in the running for the player, available on a Bosman.

George Burley has commented on the news that UEFA is to grant the Premier League an extra Champions' League place. After Leeds, Arsenal and Manchester United all did well last year the Premier League will have four qualifiers from the 2002/3 season onwards.

Town manager George Burley today revealed that his target is indeed Hassan Kachloul. The Town boss admitted that talks had been on-going and that he has given the player, interesting Villa, Derby and Celtic as well, a deadline of the end of the week by which time he has to make up his mind.

The midfielder, who currently plays in Holland with JC Roda Kerkrade, is in dispute with his club, however they are reported to have dropped their asking price from £10 million to £4 million and are talking to an unnamed Premiership club. Town are the name being touted.
