Two teams made up of TWTD readers were involved in today’s Soccer Sixes tournament on the main pitch at Portman Road. Sadly both Atletico TWTD and Dynamo TWTD — wearing kit kindly provided by the ITFC Charitable Trust - failed to get to grips with the near perfect conditions and the spoils went elsewhere. |

Town’s U15s fell to a 3-2 defeat to Manchester United’s youngsters in their annual Portman Road showcase friendly on Friday evening. The young Blues were the better side before the break but both their goals — scored by Nick Ingram and Sean McKirdy - came in injury time of a second half in which the visitors had largely been on top. |

Aaron Cresswell’s first goal for Town eventually saw the Blues to a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Peterborough United at Portman Road. Grant Leadbitter put the Blues ahead but Tyrone Barnett made it 1-1 at the break. Daryl Murphy nodded the home side back in front, then Posh sub Emile Sinclair equalised, prior to Cresswell’s winner, which deflected in off Gabriel Zakuani. |
