Town marched to perhaps their most impressive result of the season so far as they beat Everton 3-0 at Goodison Park. Despite the very poor nature of the opposition, Town were very impressive, defending when it was required, passing well and taking chances when they were there. |

Town defender Fabian Wilnis has been named as the best defender in the Premiership - according to OPTA's statistics. Not only that but Mark Venus is the third best defender in the Premiership with Leeds' Ian Harte in second. With the week already seeing Titus Bramble compared with Bobby Moore, Sol Campbell and even Pele, George Burley clearly has a defence the envy of Europe. Expect those big Italian clubs to come in with £10 million bids for Veno any day now. |

Town manager George Burley has said that Town striker may still have a chance of making it in an England shirt despite last season's international shenanigans. Johnson was linked with Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland as it was thought his possession of a British passport despite being born outside the UK meant he was eligible for any of the home countries. This however was found to be untrue as his mother was born in England. |
