Town are sweating on the fitness of two of their Irish contingent ahead of tonight's delicately poised FA Youth Cup final second leg at Portman Road against Southampton (KO 7.45pm). Left-back Michael Synnott and central midfielder Owen Garvan both picked up knee injuries in Monday's first leg at the St Mary's Stadium. |

Town's U18s travel to Southampton tonight for the first leg of the club's first FA Youth final for 30 years (KO 7.45pm). The Blues will be without striker Billy Clarke who has a knee injury which he sustained late in the second leg of the semi-final with Spurs. |

Irish U18 star Owen Garvan scored the only goal as Town's reserves beat Spurs 1-0 at Portman Road. The midfielder netted with 11 minutes remaining of the first half but the Blues really ought to have scored more than the single goal. |

Pablo Couñago is the only senior player in the Town reserve side facing Tottenham at Portman Road this evening (KO 7pm). The rest of the team is mainly Town's U18 side which faces Spurs in the home leg of the FA Youth Cup semi-final on April 8th. |

Town's Reserves lost 2-0 to Tottenham at Stevenage on Monday night. The Blues again fielded a young team, with Lewis Price missing through a groin injury. Pablo Couñago and Matt Richards were the only players with more than a few minutes' first team experience. |
