An injury time penalty from Alan Lee against one of his old clubs salvaged a point for the Blues against Burnley. Profligate Town should have had the game sewn up before Kyle Lafferty's goal four minutes from time but after Gifton Noel-Williams's handball, Lee saved the Blues from another defeat.

Town boss Jim Magilton is forced to make changes to his midfield and defence for Saturday's home game with Burnley. Simon Walton and Dan Harding both miss out through suspension, but key midfielder Sylvain Legwinski returns after his one-match ban.

Billy Clarke was Town's supersub for the second time in four days, netting the winner in the 85th minute as the Blues defeated Coventry 2-1 at Portman Road. Earlier in the half Mark Noble had put Town in front prior to Elliott Ward equalising for the visitors.

Town's three-match league winning streak came to an end as Sunderland came from behind to win 3-2. Gary Breen scored a goal at each end before John Oster and then Richard Naylor made it 2-2. With six minutes remaining Kevin Kyle headed the winner for the home side.
