Ten-man Town made a sensational comeback from two goals down to win 3-2 at home to Sheffield United. Two weeks ago in the FA Cup the Blues almost completed a similar revival only to be beaten in the last minute, but this time around goals from Darren Bent (2) and Darren Ambrose completed a memorable afternoon.

A pulsating climax to the East Anglian derby saw Pablo Couñago grab an equaliser for the Blues in injury time from a Darren Bent missed penalty. Prior to that, the game had taken much the same pattern as recent derbies, Town having most of the play before conceding, and once again there was more than a little controversy.

Another Norwegian Linked Fri 04th May 2001 10:44
Town have been linked with Norwegian striker Thorstein Helstad from Brann Bergen. Apparently Town scouts watched the striker play against Stromsgodset on Wednesday (the same night as they are also reported to have watched Magne Hoseth play elsewhere in Norway) and if they were there they couldn't have failed to be impressed.
Wilnis to Fight Thu 08th Mar 2001 09:48
Fabian Wilnis has said he will fight for his first team place. The Dutchman looks the obvious candidate to miss out now that George Burley has signed Chris Makin, like Wilnis primarily a right-back. Town manager George Burley told Wilnis he was about to bring in another defender so Makin's arrival was no surprise to the Dutchman.
