Town striker Darren Bent scored his by now obligatory late goal as the England U21s beat Austria 2-0 in Krems. Bent netted in the 89th minute after coming on as a sub for Blackburn's Jon Stead.

Town boss Joe Royle was in court in Liverpool yesterday pursuing his £400,000 claim against former club Manchester City. Royle was sacked by City three years ago as they dropped out of the Premiership.
