Coventry 0-1 Town Tue 21st Nov 2000 01:17
Town scored a dramatic winner in injury time at Highfield Road to return to fifth in the table. Just about everyone had decided that a draw was probably on the face of it, a fair result when Fabian Wilnis popped up on the end of a Martijn Reuser cross to head past Kirkland in the Coventry goal.
Ipswich 2 - 0 Charlton Sat 11th Nov 2000 17:29
Town got back on the right track with a 2-0 home win over Charlton at Portman Road. For 80 minutes the Town fans had a frustrating afternoon, but late strikes from Matt Holland and Marcus Stewart saw Town home.
Newcastle 2 - 1 Town Sat 04th Nov 2000 18:25
Town’s run of excellent away form came to an end with a 2-1 loss at Newcastle. Town went ahead in the thirteenth minute through Marcus Stewart, but two controversial Alan Shearer goals won the day for the Geordies.

Town 2 - 1 Middlesbrough Sat 28th Oct 2000 17:31
Town registered their second home League win of the season with a sometimes brilliant and occasionally frustrating performance. First half goals from Richard Naylor and Mark Venus put Town two-up with a deflected Dean Gordon freekick giving fans the usual nailbiting end to the game.
Bradford 0 - 2 Ipswich Sat 21st Oct 2000 17:54
Town won their third away game on the trot with a late Jamie Clapham freekick adding to a first half Dan Petrescu own goal. Town lined up as they did last week which meant a place on the bench once more for Titus Bramble.
Town 1 - 1 West Ham Sat 14th Oct 2000 17:36
Town will count this 1-1 draw as points dropped rather than a point won. The Blues missed chance after chance as they largely outplayed West Ham United in a game where Town played most of the football and the Londoners showed a more physical side to their game. A very poor performance by referee Neale Barry aided their approach.
Everton 0 - 3 Ipswich Town Sat 30th Sep 2000 18:00
Town marched to perhaps their most impressive result of the season so far as they beat Everton 3-0 at Goodison Park. Despite the very poor nature of the opposition, Town were very impressive, defending when it was required, passing well and taking chances when they were there.
Town 5 - 0 Millwall (AET) (5-2 Agg) Wed 27th Sep 2000 00:57
Town eventually ran out winners in probably the most bizarre game I have ever seen. The game had everything: goals, red cards, bad refereeing, time-wasting of an Olympic standard, a missed penalty and pretty much everything else you can think of.
Town 1 - 1 Arsenal Sat 23rd Sep 2000 17:27
Unlucky Town came within a few minutes of beating Arsenal in a pulsating encounter at Portman Road. The game finished 1-1, but Town were one up for forty minutes of the second half after Marcus Stewart had headed home past David Seaman. A late Denis Bergkamp goal evened the game.
