Boss Jim Magilton was angry with referee Ray Lee and midfielder Simon Walton after the Blues' 2-1 defeat at Derby. Lee failed to red card Rams skipper Michael Johnson having earlier dismissed Walton for not dissimilar offences.

Midfielder Owen Garvan played 67 minutes as Town's reserves defeated Norwich 3-0 in the second string derby at Playford Road. Derby goal specialist Danny Haynes netted twice, once from the spot, and Darryl Knights added his seventh in his last four competitive reserve games.
