A fairly even first half looked to be ending 1-0 to the away side, but a Heskey goal just before half-time was the signal for a superb second half attacking display for the the Reds. |

We Won't Go Public - Sheepshanks Tue 10th Jul 2001 11:19 Town chairman David Sheepshanks has re-iterated that there are no plans for Town to enter the stock market. As Town have developed over the last few years the question has often been put the the chairman, but despite regularly speaking about the issue the directors have no current plans to take the club in this direction. |
Reserves 0-2 Spurs Wed 18th Apr 2001 21:13 Town’s reserves fell to a 2-0 home defeat against a young Spurs side in a patchy game at Portman Road this evening. A goal right on half-time from Steve Ferguson put the away side ahead. Town had Richard Naylor and Gary Croft on display while the only notable player on display for Spurs was former England keeper Ian Walker. |

£20 Million on Stadium Wed 17th Jan 2001 09:20 David Sheepshanks has pledged to spend around £20 million on developing Portman Road into a state of the art stadium. However, he has also stressed that the club have learnt from the mistakes of the past and will not repeat the errors made when building the Pioneer Stand. |
