Everton boss David Moyes has revealed that Town manager Joe Royle has been in contact with him regarding the availability of keeper Paul Gerrard. Recently the Blues' boss ruled out a move for the former loanee but today appeared to suggest that signing Gerrard was more likely. |

Town's play-off hopes were given a massive boost as they convincingly beat Portsmouth 3-0 at Portman Road. Three goals within the first 30 minutes gave the Blues a cushion which they held on to during a second half where they rarely looked under threat. |

Neither of Town's senior academy sides have games on Saturday morning but the U17s face Norwegian side Mjondalen IF in a friendly at the Training Centre in Playford Road on Sunday (KO 2pm). |

Town will feel they deserved at least a point from a rip-roaring thriller which ended 4-3 to Forest. The Blues were 2-0 up, then 3-2 down before equalising and looked the likelier side to take the three points until former loanee Marlon Harewood popped up with a 74th minute winner. |

Town chairman David Sheepshanks last night announced a three-pronged financial plan to bring money into the club. Sheepshanks was appearing at a public meeting prior a gathering which instigated the formation of a Town Supporters Trust. |

Darren Bent is definitely out of Saturday's play-off six-pointer at home to Nottingham Forest due to the hamstring injury picked up during Saturday's game at Gillingham. Thomas Gaardsøe is still a doubt with a groin problem. |
