Sky saying Le-Fondre has handed in a transfer request. Seen a rumour that Wednesday have offered 400k. Lower league talent worth a punt?? |

All our thoughts go out to Phil's family at this very sad time. A one minute silence would be a very fitting tribute. |

Loving the comment from Bluelady - Jb your a legend!! Interviews like a naughty school kid, love him! After the game and he was being interviewed i found myself thinking .... What gem of a comment is he going to come out with next. The guy is an utter star on and off the field. As much as i realise he is on big wages i'd love to see him here on a permanent basis. You can see his class on the field but i bet what he brings to the camp behind the scenes is just as invaluable. Thank you to Paul Jewell for the stroke of genius that was bringing him to our club : - ))) |

Mr Jewell . . . . You are a Star. What a breath of fresh air. Can you imagine the laughs they must all be having, especially if Jimmy B gets in on the act too. Superb effort by all. Keep it going : - ) |

How refreshing to hear a comment like this ...... "There were a couple of clubs interested but as soon as I knew Ipswich wanted me, my mind was made up instantly. When you think of some of the mighty Town sides that have set foot on the hallowed Portman Road turf over the years it's great to hear a player make this kind of statement which shows he really does appreciate the fantastic opportunity he has been given. Grasp it with two hands Andy and make yourself a Town hero . . . . . . . . . . . . No pressure mate !!!!! : - ) |

When you're a football fan and your team is 'on the up' everything is right with the world and although it is extremely early days you only have to read the posts on here to sense there is a growing wave of optimism around the club. As much as i had reservations about Roy Keane as a person when he was appointed his straight talking approach i did admire. It is always sad to see a manager sacked and like everyone we wanted success to return under Roy Keane. However it was time for a change and in Paul Jewell there seems to be a nice balance. He talks honestly and seems comfortable with the media, strikes me as being fair and believes all the players deserve a chance. I really like the fact he's got a sense of human too, very important. Seems like the type of bloke you'd have a few pints with. Good luck to all concerned on Saturday : - )) |
